The AUHF was founded in 1984 with 11 members. Today, the AUHF has 81 active and 2 honorary members. Of the 81 members, 45 are from 20 African countries, 4 are Pan-African, and 17 have their operations in Africa and beyond. The AUHF’s members include mortgage banks, building societies, housing microlenders, housing corporations, technology companies, Development Finance Institutions, and other organisations involved in the mobilisation of funds for shelter and housing in Africa.
