The 29th annual conference of the AUHF addressed a key challenge faced by housing lenders across the continent: raising enough capital to meet the growing demand for housing finance. Hosted by AUHF-member, the Mauritius Housing Company, the AUHF conference included presentations by industry experts, panel discussions focusing on Chinese investment in residential development in Africa, on new investment opportunities and challenges, and on donor investment interest in housing finance in Africa. The Mauritius Housing Company offered a visit to three of its housing projects on the third day. The conference attracted over 100 businesses and governments from across 23 countries, mainly in Africa and globally, to consider the opportunities of investing in housing finance in Africa.
