MR. Joseph M Chikolwa is the Managing Director for Zambia National Building Society which is the largest mortgage finance institution in Zambia with 19 branches and one Agency and 356 members of staff. Previous positions held by Mr. Chikolwa include Managing Director of Stanbic Bank Zambia, ZCCM Investments Holdings Plc Chief Executive Officer, General Manager and CEO of Lusaka Stock Exchange [LuSE] and Executive Director Corporate Banking for Standard Chartered Bank Zambia Plc.
He has a wide range of experience mostly in banking spanning over 26 years. Mr. Chikolwa has served as a member of the board of directors of several public and private institutions, including National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) which is the largest compulsory contributory pension scheme in Zambia and the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) to mention a few. He is currently an independent director of British American Tobacco Zambia (BATZ) Plc.
Mr. Chikolwa holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Zambia, an MBA in Finance from University of Wales and Manchester Business School. He is a fellow of the Institute of Financial Services UK and a fellow of the Zambia Institute of Banking and Financial Services. He has attended management development programmes at London Business School, INSEAD and Manchester Business School.
